On May 22nd, the heart of Independence, IA was revving with excitement (and ice cream!) as Careers on Wheelsbrought the community together for a high-energy day filled with food, fun, and fantastic local businesses.

The event saw hundreds of attendees—families, job seekers, students, and business owners—all gathering to explore careers, connect with companies, and enjoy a day in the sun surrounded by some seriously cool vehicles.

Jensen Companies Take the Wheel

Local powerhouse Jensen 365 was front and center, alongside Jensen Transport and Jensen Manufacturing Solutions (JEMS). Jensen 365 had boots on the ground, talking to local businesses and capturing the energy of the day. One highlight? A sweet sit-down between Jensen 365 CEO Timothy Jensen and Scott Shonka, owner of the fan-favorite Totally Rolled Ice Cream Truck.

Shonka gave the inside scoop (pun fully intended) on what the most rewarding part of doing his job is. “Meeting new people,” said Shonka. “Seeing the kid’s faces and getting pictures on the red carpet.”
